What Happens At Vegas Night, Stays Helping Charlotte Youth
The 2013 Thomas Davis Charity Weekend Features Swanky Fundraiser, Free Football Camp, Pro Athletes and More!

April 18, 2013 (Charlotte, NC) – Linebacker Thomas Davis invites Panther teammates and other NFL friends to Charlotte May 3-4th for a weekend dedicated to raising funds for his foundation, the Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Foundation (TDDDF). The weekend features a Vegas games, hospital and middle school visits along with a free football camp for youth.

The weekend begins on Fri., May 3rd when players speak encouraging words about the importance of doing well on EOG tests and to offer encouragement for success through challenges. Before departing, the group will participate in a 3-point basketball shoot-out with the students.
​
That evening at 8:00 p.m., the Defending Dreams Foundation will transform the Interior Motives Showroom, located at 2425 South Blvd., into a swanky Vegas casino for the foundation’s major fundraiser. “A Night in Vegas with Thomas Davis & Friends" will feature a diverse crowd, food, music and tables of casino games for a great cause.

This event offers individuals and organizations the opportunity to purchase sponsorship packages to present themselves as an industry leader and community supporter in Charlotte. All proceeds will benefit TDDDF community programs and help the organization continue to defend the dreams of the youth in Charlotte as well as, in Davis's hometown of Shellman, GA. After “A Night in Vegas,” the players will lead the Thomas Davis Free Youth AllStar Football Camp for 300 kids on Sat., May 4th at 8:00 a.m. at the Revolution Park Football Field, 2425 Barringer Drive. The camp, directed by Coach Oscar Dillard out of Atlanta is open to youth ages 7-16 who register in advance. Coaches and athletes, on all levels of the game, recognize Coach Dillard as one of the world's leading football camp directors.
