Interior Motives Supports the Red Pump / Red Tie Event
November 28, 2012 (Charlotte, NC) – Interior Motives, Charlotte's modern furniture showroom, helps to commemorate World AIDS Day 2012 by participating in the 4th Annual Red Pump / Red Tie Affair at the Levine Museum of the New South on Dec. 1 at 7:00 p.m.
HGTV Design Star and Interior Motives owner, Will Smith, has been asked by Charlotte's Red Pump Project ambassador to design this year's social media lounge hosted by blogger and media personality Christen Rochon, publisher of DivasandDorks.com. The Red Pump/Red Tie Affair is a signature event for The Red Pump Project to help further its mission to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls, ensuring that women are empowered with accurate knowledge about HIV/AIDS and the issues surrounding it. The lounge will allow guests to snap, tweet and post about the event while including AIDS awareness messaging.
This event is known as the most fashionable cocktail party of the holiday season where a portion of the ticket proceeds benefit The Trinity Project, a program of the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network. Attendees will even have the opportunity to do some early holiday shopping in a silent auction, where one hundred percent of the proceeds are donated to the charity. Interior Motives has entered an item in the auction from its store, arrive on time to place your bid!
Two-time Emmy Award winning spoken word artist/voice actor, Bluz will host this year’s festivities. His co-host is media personality, A Dot, who produces Power 98’s The Nolimit Larry and the Morning Maddhouse Show - Charlotte’s number one radio morning show. Fashion Connoisseur Ryan Jor El will host the red carpet, interviewing guests as they arrive in style. Guests will enjoy a live performance by singer/songwriter Jessica S. Macks, music by DJ Tequila and a “Play Safe” fashion show featuring the collections of Vivian B Boutique, Blank Canvas, Figure of Speech (F.O.S), Infinite Style and more. Wardrobe styling is courtesy of Kyle Murray, dupp&swat and Joel “Mr. Baang.”

About The Red Pump Project®
The Red Pump Project® raises awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls. Our mission is to promote HIV prevention through education, and open dialogue about the issues that surround sexual and reproductive health. We do work online and on the ground to motivate action and encourage dialogue about the effects of the disease. Founded in March 2009 by Luvvie Ajayi and Karyn Watkins, Red Pump believes that if HIV affects one, it affects us all. We use the red shoe as a symbol of empowerment to represent the strength and courage of women infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. The incorporation of fashion into the message of HIV prevention is our contribution as we hope to show that Awareness is Always in Style!™
